Summary

(This measure has not been amended since it was passed by the House on November 18, 2005. The summary of that version is repeated here.) Directs the Architect of the Capitol to enter into an agreement to obtain a statue of Rosa Parks and to place the statue in the Capitol in a suitable permanent location in National Statuary Hall. Prohibits a statue of any individual from being placed in National Statuary Hall until after the expiration of the 10-year period which begins on the date of the individual's death. Exempts a statue: (1) obtained and placed in National Statuary Hall under this Act; or (2) provided and furnished by a state under the Revised Statutes of the United States or its replacement provided under the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 2001. Authorizes appropriations.
