Summary

This resolution condemns a campaign of forced assimilation of ethnic and religious minorities by the Chinese Communist Party and a related Chinese law, known as the Ethnic Unity and Progress Law. The resolution also urges U.S. officials to impose sanctions on officials and entities responsible for the law and related forced-assimilation policies. The resolution further urges the Department of State to collaborate with allies to monitor implementation of the law and prioritize programs that support affected communities.
